How to configure the default bios settings for the MCX A4

Configure MCX A4 Bios settings

This chapter describes how to configure the default bios settings for the MCX A4:

  1. Make sure the MCX A4 is switched off.

  2. Attach a keyboard (USB) and screen (HDMI).

  3. Switch on the MCX A4 and start tapping the Delete key until the bios menu appears.

  4. In the Main screen Load Optimized Defaults by pressing the F3 key. Select Yes.

  5. Use the Arrow keys to navigate through the BIOS. Go to OS Selection hit Enter and select Linux.

  6. Make sure the system date matches the UTC time.

  7. Browse to the Boot menu and change the Boot Order such that it corresponds to the list of boot options as listed below:

    • Boot Option #1 and select USB Key.
    • Boot Option #2 and select USB HDD.
    • Boot Option #3 and select USB CD/DVD.
    • Boot Option #4 and select SD.
    • Boot Option #5 and select HDD:....

  8. Browse to the Save & Exit menu.

  9. Click on Save Changes and Exit option.
