Set up a machine

The axis settings a multi-axis machine depends on, as a checklist.

For a machine, this step comes down to the axis settings from step 3. Check each of them before you move on:

Setting	For a machine
Position transformation	Required. Every axis must read its position in rad or m, in the right direction
Limiter	Required. Keeps each axis inside its travel, and within its velocity and acceleration
Setpoint jump detector	Recommended: stops the machine when a target jumps
Position window detector	Strongly recommended: stops the machine before an axis leaves its safe range, so it does not hit itself or anything around it
Other window detectors	Optional: tracking error, velocity, acceleration and torque
